News 8000: Minnesota State College Southeast hosts Camp T&T

August 9, 2018

A local college is hoping to meet the growing demand for trade workers. 15 area students in their sophomore through senior years in high school are learning about welding, electronics and other design programs through Camp T&T. Over the last four days at Minnesota State College Southeast in Winona, students made their way through four technology programs. Each was designed to let students explore different fields before heading into their college and professional careers.

"We're offering students a chance to experience these, to make a decision if this is an area they'd like to go into for the rest of their career," said Roger Holland, CNC instructor.

This is the first year of Camp T&T, but organizers are hoping to continue it in the future.
