Foundation Scholarships
The Foundation’s Scholarship Program is designed to increase access and affordability to higher education.
Scholarship applications are reviewed by members of the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee, comprised of community volunteers that dedicate themselves to reviewing over 200 applications annually. Applications are reviewed on the basis of:
- Professional goals
- Financial need
- Accomplishments
- Grade point averages
- College choice
- Letters of recommendation.
Two scholarship application deadlines give students plenty of opportunity to apply. To apply, simply complete a general scholarship application. The scholarship committee in turn, matches each applicant to its appropriate scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded from the 22 endowed scholarships, one-time named scholarships, and unrestricted funds.
Scholarship gifts may be made through:
Foundation Scholarship Fund - A gift of any amount will benefit a student right now.
Endowed Scholarship Fund - With a gift of $25,000 or more, you can create a permanent scholarship fund. Funds are stewarded by Foundation Board of Directors and professionally invested in accordance with foundation's endowment and investment policies. Earnings of the fund are used to provide a scholarship each year.
One-time Named Scholarship - With a gift or pledge of $1,000 or more, you can provide up to three named scholarships; in your name, or in honor or memory of an individual. All three scholarships can be given in the same year or in three subsequent years.
