Step 4: New Student Registration
After you have applied for admission and been accepted, you will receive information in the mail and by email from Minnesota State College Southeast. Watch for it, as this includes important information you will need to begin your college education!
You will be invited to complete New Student Orientation and Registration online or on-campus.
ONLINE: To complete this process online, complete the MSC Southeast Online Orientation. Once your online orientation is processed, you will receive an email containing your advisor's information. Reach out to your advisor to discuss courses and how to complete the registration process.
ON-CAMPUS: To complete this process on-campus, sign up to attend New Student Orientation and Registration. Sign up for the earliest session possible assure that you will be able to get your preferred classes.
At New Student Orientation and Registration, you will learn about MSC Southeast, meet your academic advisor, register for courses, get your Student Photo ID, and purchase your textbooks.
- Being accepted to the college does not guarantee you a place in the program of study you want to take. Seats are filled on a first come, first served basis. Register early - avoid disappointment!
- To register for courses, you will need your StarID and password. You can register for courses online through the first five days of the semester (some exceptions may apply).
- Students enrolled in an online course are also asked to attend a Desire to Learn (D2L) Orientation. Sessions will be held on both the Red Wing and Winona campuses. For more information, please contact the Help Desk at 507-453-2408. For more information about online courses, see: Distance Learning
We look forward to you joining our family at Minnesota State College Southeast!
