Future Students

Step 4: New Student Registration

RegistrationAfter you have applied for admission and been accepted, you will receive information in the mail and by email from Minnesota State College Southeast. Watch for it, as this includes important information you will need to begin your college education!

You will be invited to make an appointment to attend a New Student Registration session. Sign up for the earliest session possible to assure that you will be able to get your preferred classes.

Remember, being accepted to the college does not guarantee you a place in the program of study you want to take. Seats are filled on a first come, first served basis. Register early - avoid disappointment!

At New Student Registration, you will meet your academic advisors, obtain your Registration Access Code, register for courses, and purchase your Student Photo ID.

  • To register for courses, you will need your StarID and password. You can register for courses online through the first five days of the semester (some exceptions may apply).
  • Students enrolled in an online course are also asked to attend a Desire to Learn (D2L) Orientation. Sessions will be held on both the Red Wing and Winona campuses. For more information, please contact the Help Desk at 507-453-2408. For more information about online courses, see: Distance Learning

We look forward to meeting YOU at New Student Registration!
