Mary Jo Klinker: Feminist Hashtags as a Bridge to Feminists Pasts
Hosted by Winona State University's CLASP Series

Klinker will theorize how the roles of social networking platforms have become politicized spaces for feminist media scholars, which expose the reverberating concerns of racism amongst feminists. Her presentation will also feature how economic priorities have systematically erased historically important coalitions and dialogues.

The Mid West Music Fest brings together more than 70 bands and musical acts at various venues around the Winona community.

Control and chaos collide in Wilderness, performed by the critically acclaimed and award-winning Brian Brooks Moving Company with live music by Sandbox Percussion. Within the walls of a pristine white room, an enigmatic world exists at the intersection of order and impulse. Like molecules of compressed energy, eight dancers hurtle through composer Jerome Begin's relentless percussion score and rise to choreographer Brian Brooks' signature challenge to suspend the limits of the body and the imagination.

Dedicated to preserving and advancing the British Brass Band tradition, this group of regional musicians follows their passion for brass and percussion to create two annual concert favorites on the Sheldon's season: Holiday and Spring.
