The Medical Administrative Assistant Associate of Applied Science degree is a 2-year comprehensive college education. The degree includes 15 college-level general education credits and 45 credits of technical education in administrative skills specific to the medical field.
The Medical Administrative Specialist diploma provides a strong foundation in administrative skills specific to the medical field and can be completed in just 3 semesters.
Healthcare Documentation Specialists work behind the scenes to prepare accurate medical records, often transcribing reports dictated by doctors and other health care professionals. The 30-credit Healthcare Documentation Specialist certificate provides a foundation in skills specific to this career.
Health Unit Coordinators set priorities and organize the workload of the nursing unit in a hospital or clinic setting. The work requires strong organizational skills to coordinate patients, procedures, schedules, and health care documentation.
