111 - Admission Denied: Appeal

The purpose of this policy is to establish the protocol for the appeal process when college admission is denied. 

Prospective students who are denied admission to the college may submit an appeal, in writing, to the Dean of Students. The appeal will be reviewed and processed in accord with established criteria as described underProspective students who are denied admission to the College may submit an appeal, in writing, to the Dean of Students. Admission Denied: Appeal Procedures

Individuals shall request in writing to the Dean of Students that their appeal for admission to the college be reviewed. The Dean of Students will establish a meeting with a review committee within fourteen (14) days of the date that the request for review is received.

The prospective student will be advised of the meeting in order to determine if they would join the meeting and discuss the appeal with the review committee.

The review committee will evaluate the request and make a determination regarding admission within five (5) working days of the committee review.

The Dean of Students will inform the student of the decision accordingly.
