Winona Daily News: MSC Southeast to offer 18 new $2,500 scholarships for Fall 2019 through Minnesota Workforce Development program

Employers in southeastern Minnesota are asking for skilled, well-educated employees in a number of high-demand sectors, including manufacturing, health care, and transportation careers. To help meet this ever-increasing need, the Minnesota state Legislature allocated funding for a $1 million pilot program that initially awarded hundreds of scholarships throughout Minnesota in the 2018-19 academic year. ...

To date, Minnesota State College Southeast awarded 16 scholarships for students in 2018-19 and eight additional scholarships for 19-20. Now 18 more $2,500 scholarships will be available to Minnesota students who are beginning college at MSC Southeast this fall.
