Dr. Marsha Danielson, President of Minnesota State College Southeast, named to NOCTI's Board of Trustees

National organization provides industry-based credentials for career and technical education programs

Dr. Marsha A. DanielsonWinona, MN (January 10, 2022) -- The Board of Trustees of NOCTI has announced the appointment of three new board members for a term beginning January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2025.

Dr. Marsha Danielson, President of Minnesota State College Southeast in Winona and Red Wing, MN, is one of the three board members selected.

Also appointed were Dr. Patience Lehrman, Vice Dean of Workforce and Community Development, College of Education and Human Development, at Temple University; and Dr. Barbara Wall, Director of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education at the Georgia Department of Education.

"Thank you to the NOCTI Board of Trustees for its confidence in my ability to positively contribute to the NOCTI Board and its products and programs," said Dr. Danielson. "NOCTI products and services will continue to help Minnesota State College Southeast and our peers to build on our expertise to make data-driven decisions around skills verification  for the future workforce."

NOCTI is the nation's largest provider of industry partner certifications and industry-based credentials for career and technical education programs. NOCTI provides credible solutions for assessing both student and teacher competence and provides detailed information that can be used for data-driven instructional improvement as well as to meet regulatory requirements. NOCTI's sister company Nocti Business Solutions provides pre-employment testing and certification services to over 300 businesses nationwide.

The NOCTI Board of Trustees develops policies and guidelines for the planning and administration of the company and is accountable for the overall program, services, and budget of NOCTI. The permanent organization of the board consists of eleven members and three advisors representing NOCTI's current customer base.

Dr. Marsha A. Danielson became the ninth president of Minnesota State College Southeast on July 1, 2021. From 2007 to 2021, she served South Central College (SCC), a comprehensive community and technical college with campuses in Faribault and North Mankato, MN, in a number of leadership roles. As Vice President of Economic Development at SCC from 2016 to 2021, she advised the president on corporate education, economic development, and growth opportunities for the college. Previously she served Minnesota State University, Mankato from 1996 to 2007 in several areas including development, alumni relations, external relations, and marketing and communications. Dr. Danielson holds a bachelor's degree and a master's from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a doctorate in community college leadership from Ferris State University (MI).
