Practical Nursing DIPLOMA

ACEN SealThe Practical Nursing major is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct nursing care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, home and community-based settings within the scope of practice of a Practical Nurse.

This challenging 2-semester program requires students to demonstrate competence in classroom theory, laboratory experiences, simulated events, and supervised clinical rotations.

ACEN SealMinnesota State College Southeast's Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree prepares graduates to take the NCLEX-RN® exam and become registered nurses.

The degree includes two semesters of general education classes and three semesters of nursing courses. The college offers nursing students a modern learning experience, complete with high fidelity virtual skills labs and simulations, online student learning materials, faculty support, and national benchmarking of student progress.
