Chris Cook, Admissions Representative, Winona
Hello! My name is Chris Cook, and I am an Admissions Representative at Minnesota State College Southeast at the Winona Campus. I hold a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wis. It was at Viterbo that I developed a passion for serving students, working as a Resident Assistant (RA) in the Residence Halls, and also as a student tour guide for the Office of Admissions.
Prior to joining the Student Affairs team at MSC Southeast, I worked for several years in financial aid, helping students understand the financial options available to them. One of the greatest privileges of my job is having the opportunity to play a role in a student's success. My own success comes from knowing that I've helped another person find theirs. Whether it be showing a student options for programs that they may enjoy, sharing the message of career-focused, hands-on learning, or explaining how financial aid works, if I can connect a student to their "future self," it is an incredibly rewarding experience.
When not at work, I love spending time with my wife and two children. I enjoy getting outdoors, camping, hiking, biking, traveling, and gardening. I'm also active in my children's Cub Scout program and the Parent Teacher Organization. One thing most people don't know about me is that I have a huge collection of old Coca-Cola memorabilia!
