Advising and Registration Help Sessions

Welcome to Academic Advising at Minnesota State College Southeast! Whether you're just starting your college journey or nearing graduation, we believe that academic advising is an important step of the way. Every Southeast student is assigned a program (major) faculty advisor who can help you navigate your academic path, make informed decisions, and stay on track to reach your goals.

You can find the contact information for your program advisor near the top of your degree audit called a DARS.  Please see the videos at this link for instructions on how to access your DARS, as well as other helpful videos:  In The Right Direction Videos

What do academic advisors do?:

  • Help you choose the right courses and build your academic plan
  • Clarify program requirements and graduation timelines
  • Support you through program changes, transfers, or career shifts
  • Connect you with campus resources and support services
  • Offer personalized guidance tailored to your goals and interests

Advisors are not just here for registration—we're your partners in success. Whether you're exploring majors, planning your next semester, or preparing for life after college, we're ready to help.

In addition to meeting with your assigned faculty advisor, you can also attend supplemental advising sessions hosted by the College Student Success Division. These sessions are designed to give you extra support and guidance—especially when your faculty advisor may not be available.

Upcoming Advising Sessions, hosted by the Student Success Division:

Wednesday, January 7
1:00-2:30 p.m., Winona Campus, Academic Support Center (ASC)

Thursday, January 8
