Drug and Tobacco Free Campuses
Minnesota State College Southeast is committed to the maintenance of drug-free campuses. Students and employees are prohibited from the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of any narcotic drug, amphetamine, barbiturate, marijuana, alcohol, or any controlled substance while on campus or in any workplace that is under the authority of the college. Furthermore, the possession, use, or distribution of any cannabis product is prohibited on all college properties or at college-sponsored events, regardless of location.
Strict adherence to this policy is mandatory. Failure to comply will result in immediate referral to the local police department for prosecution. Southeast may require a student to complete a prescribed assistance or rehabilitation program to continue academic studies.
Southeast offers a tobacco-free environment in all buildings and college vehicles. Use of tobacco products is not permitted within 75 feet of buildings except in designated areas. E-cigarettes are also prohibited under the tobacco-free policy.
