- The 3M service team is looking for an "Electromechanical Field Service Engineer"

- Full-time position, M-F 8:00 - 4:30 CST in office
The team is looking for an Electromechanical Field Service Engineer with at least 3 years of experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical hardware.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites (up to 22 weeks/year) across the U.S. This travel is by air.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial inkjet printers and production line equipment (presses, laminators, heaters, etc.)
- While on-site at Mendota Heights, MN location: Service and troubleshoot equipment. Handle customer support calls
- Supporting team that is in the field.
- Manage your travel itinerary, customer communication and schedule.
- Work on process improvement, documentation and lab testing while not traveling.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of hardware experience.
- 3+ years electronic and electrical troubleshooting
- Very Strong mechanical skills.
- Bonus to have hands on experience with PLC and HMI programming.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent customer care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Strong team collaboration within the 3M service team.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with programing PLCs.
- Experience with C# and .NET
Education:
- Minimum - associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering or electrical journeyman with low voltage/electronics training.
