Winona Campus and Community
Winona (pop. 27,000) lies on the banks of the Mississippi River with a backdrop of beautiful high bluffs and lush countryside. The town is located about 45 miles east of Rochester, Minnesota and 30 miles north of LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Winona's three institutions of higher learning - Minnesota State College Southeast, Winona State University, and Saint Mary's University of Minnesota - add to the educational experiences available. The Minnesota Marine Art Museum, the Great River Shakespeare Festival, Mid West Music Fest and many other cultural amenities make Winona an exceptional place to live and learn. While most students live in nearby apartments, residence hall living is available at Winona State University.
Winona's Main Campus features a spacious front lobby, a large book store, the Academic Resource Center, and the Student Commons. It also houses:
- General education classrooms
- Trade labs (Construction Technology, Welding, Mechatronics, CNC Machine Tool, Electronics, etc.)
- Health labs (Radiography, Nursing)
- Cosmetology lab, which is open to the public for salon services.
The Norris P. Abts Transportation Center is a state-of-the-art facility housing Automotive Technology, Auto Body Collision Technology, and the Truck Driving programs.
Tandeski Center is the home of Riverway Learning Community, a public charter PreK-12 school.
